  • Doors open at 5:00 PM
  • There will be games, lots of merriment, and silent auction bidding until 7:00
  • At 7:00 the last silent auction table will close, and dinner will be served
  • At 8:00 the merriment will continue and the live auction will begin
  • And by 9:30 things will begin to wrap up


4CFF is committed to the financial support of organizations whose core mission is to protect and conserve habitat. Through our membership we also participate in the actual projects that these organizations head up. We strive to educate our community about the importance of habitat restoration and conservation. And through outreach to youth groups and schools we work to encourage interest in the sport of fly fishing, so that future generations will continue to be concerned about habitat preservation.

Washington State Fly Fishers International Fly Casting and Tying Annual Fair

FFI Certified Casting Instructors offer a variety of group lessons  for all levels of  single or double handed anglers. During the  noon hour internationally known, Molly Semenik, will demonstrate

accuracy techniques.  Throughout the entire day for free the FFI Casting Skills Development Course (FCSD) welcomes all to  participants to work through a range of casting challenges that have real life fishing application, along with  a walk-in casting clinic the casting doctors will be on hand to provide casting support. Bring our own 9ft 5 wt rod with a 7.5′ leader, dry line, with a yarn fly attached, or use rods provided for the event.  Marion and Steve Hiller, Molly Semenik, and  Frank Koterba, 4CFF members, will be teaching and facilitations events throughout the day.

History

Beginning on the evening of April 12, 1972, and during the months that followed, a group of Bellingham area fly fishers gathered to organize a fly fishing club in the "fourth corner of this nation" who share a common interests in the sport of fly fishing a common interest in promoting conservation ethics,  protecting wild fish and the habitat which sustains them, preserving  angling waters, improving the state-of-art of fly fishing, informing its members of developments of fly fishing interests, and  carry out  programs of education designed to encourage others to become responsible and informed fly fishers.

Mission/Purpose

  • To operate a social club for the pleasure, association and recreation of its members engaged in fly fishing activities.
  • To work to protect wild fish and the habitat which sustains them.
  • To work for the betterment and preservation of angling waters and surrounding land.
  • To improve the state of the art of flying fishing and to keep members informed of developments of interest.
  • To develop and carry out programs of education designed to encourage individuals of all ages to become fly fishers and to promote ethical use of the resource.
