Program: Our scheduled speaker cancelled, Jeffrey Delhia requested a booking for November. In his place a showing of the film Artifishal: The road to extinction is paved with good intentions. Artifishal is a film about the high cost—environmental, financial and cultural—of hatcheries and fish farms, and our reliance on human-engineered solutions. It explores our loss of faith in nature, and the impact on communities and ecosystems as wild salmon slide toward extinction, the threats posed by fish hatcheries and fish farms, and the fight for the future of wild fish and the environment that supports them. Artifishal was recently shown at the 2019 Seattle Film Festival. Visit Patagonia’s website to view a preview. https://www.patagonia.com/artifishal.html
